They are too busy being narrowly technically brilliant that they fail to see what a sufficiently generalist and curious 15-year-old could figure out what is the root cause. the real challenge is that many diseases are asymptomatic and the diagnostics are also inaccurate. so there's no real way to tell if you have the disease
