Meta's create-react-app unofficially officially deprecated (github.com/facebook)

The `create-react-app` utility for node made to quickly start a frontend app with a CLI to choose your dependencies has been broken for a whole month now.

Lead maintainers at Meta have been taking a long vacation for a tool that is used by 13M+ people. For the past months, trying to use the tool by itself causes it to crash due to a mismatch between React v18 and v19.

Hacky workarounds obviously work, editing your deps after the CLI crashes... Though that makes the CLI itself useless. There are alternatives like `vite` which do this very well, though it's sad to see such tools get abandoned like this...

It's weird the way they just let it rot in place, without officially deprecating it.

I think the alternative is now vite, which is definitely better, but switching can be a massive hassle.
