Bring code from other platforms into the browser (withgoogle.com)

I'm not against a tasteful flourish or two, but in safari the header of this blog stuck over the content as I scroll: https://imgur.com/a/TyU2h3t

Something cool the web can do is static, reliable, easily readable documents – might be nice to show that off.

Hi there, can I know what browser version you're using? I'm the marketer leading this project and would love to ensure that it works for everyone. I believe the experience breaks in earlier versions of some of the browsers. Not sure if we'll have a fix but the least we can do is give the reader a warning while we find a suitable fallback solution. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, this website itself not working correctly unless you're using Chrome is a bit on the nose.

It works in Firefox.

yeah, I saw the same thing in Safari. It's "fixed" after I click on the X button close card, and click the card to reopen.

this website needs a seizure warning.

Hi there. We're working on a prefers-reduced-motion version of this so hopefully it'll work well for those who don't prefer animations.

The irony of writing an article about using the browser to run things from different platforms, but not testing your own content on different devices and browsers to see that it doesn’t work.

I was recently appaled by the text editing exprience in gmail... but this is what I get for not using chrome.... clearly I'm doing it wrong

lagging input, the cursor would skip to seemingly random places as I tried to navigate with keyboard arrow keys; but that is what I get for using a keyboard instead of a touch input device

Hmm on mobile iOS this website is terrible.

Desktop firefox -- also terrible

Hi there! I'm the marketer on this project and would love to ensure this works well for everyone. Could you please share what browser version you're on so we can take a look? Thanks!

Is it though? I thought so too but then tried it with Chrome and I think it's broken in the same way.

I assume they meant that the site is terrible in Firefox, not that Firefox is terrible.

Yup, and I meant that while the site indeed works terribly in Firefox, it also works terribly in Chrome.

Hey there, I'm the marketer on this project. I'd love to know which browser version you're on so we can find the right fix. We thoroughly tested on all major browsers but only the more recent versions so surprised that it's broken on Chrome too. Do let me know and we'll take a look. Thanks!

I'm using the most recent version of Chrome unstable and Firefox Developer Edition. I think that what most people in this thread are saying is not that there's are bugs, but that the UX of the website is so nonstandard and so confusing that it feels broken.

Two examples: - each page ("card"?!) opens in what feels like a modal dialog, but clicking outside of it doesn't close it like with normal dialogs. you must click on the tiny X button. - Moving between cards is insanely annoying. "Next card" but no "Previous card"?! The mere fact you figured you should add a "Grid view" shows that you realized how bad this is.

my 2 cents: instead of requiring users to do like 10 clicks to go from one PAGE to another, just put the menu on the left side with the title of the different pages and let people move between them with ONE click.

This site is like super broken in Safari on iPhone xD

Safari does suck really really bad to be fair (I say from my iPhone).
