Looks like a remarkable competitor? Wonder how it compares.

I wonder how far, if ever, we are from a successful e-ink phone or laptop. I know some exist today but I wonder if they could ever gain size-able market share.



Please, please let me use a keyboard (usb ideally, but bluetooth would work) and run emacs. My wish list would be finally complete.


My understanding is that a refresh rate high enough to make typing bearable wipes out the energy saving advantage of e-ink, and that ghosting would be excessive.

Has anyone used one of the e-ink monitors? What’s that experience like?


If it's fast enough to draw on, then it should be fast enough to give a decent typing experience. Maybe I just need to get a large Sharp memory lcd screen and be done with it.


Pretty cool, might be a good replacement to Ipads for note taking in college. Although, not sure if it's better.
