This is very shallow analysis. It looks at the average price paid across all electric vehicles. It would make more sense to look at the price trend within a given category. They even undermine their own narrative:

People are fairly rational when it comes to making good economic decisions. Many people have done the math and realized that the higher gas prices go the more an EV is worth. Also, EVs eliminate trips to the gas station and the total cost of ownerships tends to be lower.
