Recession is officially whatever NBER says it is and it doesn’t have a well defined meaning.

Also it’s by design a trailing designation. You will be in (and possibly out) of a recession before NBER declares one, by definition.

The thing is: it’s nothing new. In early 2000s there was a wave of outsourcing that caused panic in the US. Back then, the difference in salaries was even higher than nowadays. In some cases it worked out well for the employers, but in many cases it did not for various reasons.


One of the things I like about Odin is the features it doesn't have. Package manager is the big one, but OOP constructs and macros are not far behind. Good job!

True, but hardly anyone used it until Windows 3, or even 3.1.


Funny how silly Windows 1 looks compared to Mac OS 1. I wonder if it was the color support taking resources.
