This year, I discovered SideStore on iOS, and its wonderful auto-refresh feature. Since then, I have written two iOS apps and am happily using them daily with zero issues. This plus the new Google announcement mean no going back to Android for me any time soon.

It's pretty common I think. A thing is useful, but not intrinsically interesting (not anymore). So.. "let's move on"? Also, burn out is possible.

> The barrier isn’t the tech. It’s people.

Maybe? Or maybe the tech is not superior enough (considering the overhead) so nobody cares.

I just want to say that the information density and the clarity of this short piece is off the chart. My next book will be Accelerando.

When reading, I often take a photo and ask GPT something about the text. I found myself doing this more and more. I'd love to be able to just "point and click" with AR glasses and will happily pay for just this feature.

That doesn't make sense. You are basically making money on the interest of "in-flight" fund. What does it have to do with stablecoins?

When I switched from Android to iOS, this was one of the things I missed a lot: the ability to write my own app and side load it on my phone. Even more so with the advent of LLM. Oh well, now I don't have to worry about that.

This is the inverse of the "$2000/mo tier", and I'm kind of disappointed TBH.

Ok we now have "law is code".

When can we have "code is law"? Write the code as source of truth and generate the law from it.

The law has better properties when it comes to undefined behavior than code does.

That's what a smart contract is meant to represent, and they get taken advantage of every single day.

When can we have real-time price auctions for public roads?

We already do. It’s called the value of your time. If there’s too much traffic, chose another route. We don’t need more tech shit trying to improve mobility when the solution is clear- fewer cars, more mass transit (and not hyperloop crap)
