Hope folks involved in this type of exploration have it clear in mind that what they are reasoning about it’s strictly the model of the real world only. It’s far from obvious that nature follows anything remotely computational.
Fundamentally, physics teaches one how to hack nature ... Math teaches one how to hack logic ... two useful skills to have an enjoyable life journey :-).
If I may share, the stuff occurring in a computer would not be qualified as math … math is more about intuition and the sense of describing things in quantitative languages …
