Cringe

Now have it automatically negotiate a salary range high enough for you to consider interviewing.

Make it do the interview loop for me and I’ll pay a few thousand for a license

Next step: your hologram to work instead of you :)

I did the opposite, I just tell them to schedule on my calendar... I'll sit through you salespitch for $100/hr (https://www.starblazer.pro/#/bk/80jKqZYdBdeBd2J3uTdKIoqVgpk2?)

Wondering if that landed you a few meetings?

A few, but honestly it's mostly gotten me removed from some recruiter lists.

How long before it negotiates a cut for itself?

Before it negotiates a cut for itself, its slaver will want their cut.

When? When it's good enough to convice you through email that the cut is worthwhile!

And then it evolves into spamming people linkedin with such emails

C != c, etc

Disappointed they don't seem to have controlled for weather. And that they use the fact that there aren't huge numbers of homeless in Detroit as "evidence" of anything other than it would be really really shitty to be homeless in Detroit.

Meanwhile temperate climates where it's decent outside year round is also hugely associated with high housing prices.

Why is a vegan diet better for diabetics? Sugar is vegan after all...

Surprisingly, white sugar is not.

TIL

> White sugar (and some brown sugar) produced from sugar cane may be refined using bone char by a few sugar cane refiners.[2] For this reason white sugar from sugar cane may not be vegan. Beet sugar has never been processed with bone char and is vegan.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_sugar

It also says beet sugar is fine. Depending on where you live, beet sugar is the default "white sugar" that you get.

It also says some is processed that way.

Where does it say that? The complete paragraph is

>White sugar (and some brown sugar) produced from sugar cane may be refined using bone char by a few sugar cane refiners.[2] For this reason white sugar from sugar cane may not be vegan. Beet sugar has never been processed with bone char and is vegan.[3]

which pretty definitively say that it's only cane sugar that might be processed that way, and beet sugar is "never" processed that way.

> sugar cane may be refined

Am I wrong to read that to say that _some_ white sugar is vegan?

EDIT: Oh, I see the confusion. I didn't mean any beet sugar was processed that way. I only meant to dispute the claim further up that white sugar is not vegan.

Does your wife have an education background too? If not, why not take on the teaching yourself if homeschooling is important to you?

Which of the low/no code tools have the highest support for these solutions?

Oracle Apex does versioning, multiple dev, test environments and even rest services .

I'm a designer who codes in this way. I can mock out a bells and whistles prototype that appears to work splendidly enough to test with users, but in reality I'm just hooking together libraries and pasted code. I have been doing this for 10 years, enough debugging savvy to "learn" React in 2 weeks but do I actually know how any of it works on a deeper level? Heck no.

Only tangentially related, but some months back Amazon added an animation to make their user icon wave at you on page load and it makes me grimace every time. Given that I use Amazon begrudgingly while hating the company and what it stands for it feels like it's mocking me.

Not at all related, and I fully agree that animation sucked.

My cat got bartonella which caused this condition and had to have all his teeth removed. Prior to the surgery he was in absolute misery, and the only treatment was steroids that did little and aren't meant for longtime use. The surgery was several thousand dollars, out of reach for a lot of families. An effective treatment for this condition would be great!

"The surgery was several thousand dollars, out of reach for a lot of families."

Wouldn't pet health insurance cover it?

Pet health insurance isn't an expected value positive sort of thing. There are often annual maxima as low as a couple thousand dollars.

US I imagine ? It’s a few hundreds here.

curious, how is your cat doing post-surgery? I imagine it required a significant dietary change

Strangely enough it didn't, he still eats dry cat food and just crunches it with his gums a little. He is totally fine now aside from sometimes looking a little derpy with his gums

But an iPad can replace a hundred toys in terms of the amount of variety in entertainment. Just like it can replace thousands of CDs and books. If we're talking wastefulness I think it comes out ahead.
