Baidu Map offers real time traffic map. There is no historical data available though.

You mean tautology?

I've never used Streisand before. What I normal do is using Shadowsocks directly (part of what Streisand offers). It has Windows, Linux, OSX, and Android clients. Third party IOS client is also available.

This seems to be allowed in WeChat. But such text will be blocked if you try to send it in a group chat. I guess CPP allows you to talk privately but not publicly in a 300 people group.

By that means they can easily identify dissidents without allowing them to spread their message too far

Oh, wow, really? Interesting. I'll have to try that later. Is it all group chats or ones over a certain size?

Data usage is not free and also controlled by carriers.

sure, but you can send imessages free over wifi. I doubt you can do the same with RCS. come to think of it, that's the only reason why carriers would even agree to implement this in the first place: they get to charge users for data that they would have otherwise transferred on wifi.

Uninstall and use chrome version.

On some phones, Facebook comes preinstalled as a system-level app that cannot be uninstalled.

Idk what to recommend other than getting a phone that doesn't do that to you.

On my phone, I never logged in to Facebook through the app and deactivated it and use the website, I hope it's sufficient.

This is what I use in my computer. https://www.google.com/get/noto/help/cjk/

I use subdl on Linux, a simple command line tool.

Finally an original source. I was wondering what the original text of "once untrustworthy, always restricted" would be. I think a more accurate translation should be "untrustworthy here, restricted everywhere".

I use a nox emacs with minimum .emacs for quick editing in terminal. Its startup time is comparable to vi.
