Homeopathic snake oils are diluted so many times they pretty much guarantee there are no traces of original substance left (they believe the more times it is diluted, the more potent healing powers it gets). I think default is 30 times dilution, each time with ratio 1:100, so you're left with 1e-60 of original, so if you'd put all atoms from milky way (1e68) and start homeopathic them, you'd be left with number of atoms that make ie. a virus (influenza has roughly 1e8 atoms).
I had no knowledge of snake oil terms, so I was confused by the "30C is just water". So after reading your comment, I had to go look it up and came across this [0] with description of the terms. For anyone else ignorant of snake oils ;-)
Surely, you're not implying that someone making a snake oil would be doing so in a non-sterile environment without any kind good manufacturing practices being used. These things seem so trust worthy. I mean, even the government feels they need no regulations because they do it so well themselves.

I agree with the actual point you're making — though I can imagine a DnD-style alignment chart with one axis for substance purity and the other for functional equivalence, such a chart has both soy milk and peanut butter in the "functional purity, ingredient rebel" corner.
The problem here is obvious. What if the patient has an adverse reaction to the drug? If they took a single dose, you can discontinue the drug. But you can't discontinue a multiple dose drug delivered in a single shot.
I don't see a problem here. As with most other drugs for which a time-release form already exists, you would start on the instant-release form until your reaction is known and your dosage is dialled in. Then your doctor is able to calculate the correct dosage for the time-release form -- often there is a guideline for conversion between the two forms which is distributed by the pharma company.
The sweet spot for Perl is any problem combining text processing with Unix system calls. It's a system administrator's idea of what a programming language should be. I feel the reason why Perl got a reputation as a "write only" language is because it's easy to write a simple Perl script, so people with no programming background wrote a lot of ugly code. It's simple to write clean, maintainable code in Perl with a little discipline.
I have more than a little background in programming, and I love Perl. But I definitely consider it 90% write-only. The remaining 10% are mostly libraries.
You can write clean, maintainable code in Perl, but the language simply isn't designed for that, it has other priorities. The whole "there is more than one way to do it" thing is obviously not how you get consistent code, first class regexes which are one of the biggest strengths of Perl are notoriously hard to read, and the "ugly" options tend to be the easiest to use. It is all great for getting stuff done quickly and efficiently, not so much for maintainable code.
Languages that favor readability will typically try to go towards the "one true way" of doing things, use more descriptive words in standard libraries, have an annoying "bondage and discipline" compiler, etc... Perl has little discipline built-in, so it has to come from the programmer, don't expect it to guide you to the cleanest way, but you can expect it to help you write everything in one line.

Also, applications are routinely denied upon first submission and then worked on as an appeal that can span years.

So either there are applications still being processed, in appeal, or people are frankly struggling to navigate the submission process, especially with fewer SSA employees to get assistance from.
How do those payments work? Are you allowed them if you're also working?
Separate question: I vaguely remember that everything else made COVID more likely to kill, so how many people already on disability were killed, proportionately speaking?
