Might be intentional. Unreliable service is probably worse as a user. Never know if the system is down or if it’s just you. Plus probably harder for beeper to work out how/why they are getting blocked.
My guess is that the Illitch and Gilbert tax bills are about to plummet as their highly improved and revenue generating properties get averaged out with 1950’s mid rises.
Bonus points if we can crank up the tax bill on families which inherited their home but never had the money to make improvements.
Apple should open up the boot loader and let you install an alternate OS.
Can’t get any more open than that.
But I think we will find people actually want access to Apple’s audience and dev tools for free. I’m loathe to stump for megacorp like Apple, but in the same vein as iMessage, I don’t think we should drag iOS down to Android’s level just because Googles messaging strategy has been a turd for a decade.

Wdym? Google Messages supports RCS, which has been a thing for a while, it's also an open standard. Apple still doesn't support it, they're stuck with SMS.
Each star will give a circle on which you could be located. 2 will be the intersection of 2 circles, which is 2 points. If you have some additional assumptions (e.g. Northern hemisphere), it is possible to eliminate one of the points. Otherwise you need a 3rd point to get a full triangulation.
What you're describing is a lat/lon position fix, but the link nickponline gave is for a plate solver (finding the RA/Dec of stars in an image, and determining the camera orientation). All other plate solvers I've looked at use three or four stars and measure the angles and distances relative to each other. Since nickponline's code appears to only use two, I'm intrigued as to what the angle is being measured relative to. It kinda looks like it requires the image to be oriented with North as up, which seems like an interesting twist. It seems a little like cheating, but honestly most people will know the orientation of their camera, and it probably speeds up the search considerably, and would reduce/eliminate the need for building index files.
That reminds me of this video: https://youtu.be/cLGcGnGJvL0 where they say how one of the reasons laptops are getting harder to upgrade is probably so they can make you buy an expensive configuration and still advertise a low starting price
Laptops have real physical limitations involved, similar to smartphones don't have RAM slots, so I don't buy the video. But silly as it is, at least you can "download" heated seats later if you change your mind.
Perhaps it is reasonable to solder parts to the motherboard. It's less reasonable to charge a massive markup on storage and memory. The margins on those upgrades are well over 100%.
Yeah, even if the soldering isn't intentional for non-upgreadability, they certainly took advantage of it in the pricing. And with the heated seats, the margin is infinite.
And because 2 year olds don’t get hurt THAT bad in car accidents, we should eliminate car seat requirements so the population can grow even faster.
Are there any schools of economics that actually consider sustainability, or are they all pretty much “growth good, more growth even better?”
