These sort of articles are new "economists have predicted 17 of the past 3 recessions".

Holy fsck! 30 years on the web and today I learn about this Alt/Option trick. Thank you!

Same here, that literally just changed my life

Shouldn't this version be called Pi-thon?

I'll walk myself out.

The release has a pretty cute logo of the snakes eating a pie: https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-3140/

I've been hearing this off and on for pretty much the entire development cycle and I'm kinda sick of it now, frankly.

Balconies are private, roofs ain't.

Is it even possible for a private person to pay market price instead of a fixed price?

Market price + VAT + a subscription paying for the grid and utility's benefits, yes.

I believe that already exists in Nordic countries, I had heard of it in Sweden ([1] says 10% of the population uses it) and Norway ([2] quotes 75% of the population).

You forgot just one teeny tiny thingy - it's illegal to park ICE car on EV charging spot on the streets, in garages etc. So if the number of EVs grow the number of EV spots would grow which would take more space, not less.

If you take existing parking and make some of it EV charging, it doesn't take up much extra space; the charging equipment does take some space, of course, but sometimes there's room to be found for that.

Depending on EV adoption and how much charging people want/need, you can start with a couple spots that are active charging only, and see what that looks like. If the chargers are always full, consider adding more and/or having several spots for each charger and standards and practices to move your car and the charging plug when yours is full, etc. If the chargers are underused, consider making the spot open when the lot is full, etc.

If the number of EVs grows, ICE will shrink by as much so we can just convert regular parking spots to EV charging spots.

You're free to invent a better way, popularize it and become a millionaire.

For example to automate what couldn't be automated otherwise.

For example to deal with software designers that think web browsers are people

Yeah, looks like an unfortunate marketing term. In the explainer video they mention 60 languages.

Cross out the last one, they changed the name to Fugging
