my reply to you would’ve been: “oh, not much, we just made the founder the richest most powerful man on this planet. Right now he’s probably on a giant island in hawaii which he wholly owns, in a €200mm mansion, having an orgy with 25 escorts, while on lsd. Oh, right now he just took the jet, one of 6 €50mm jets he owns, to fly to the coast of italy. there, he will fly his giant helicopter to land on his giant 3 floor yatch with 3 pools where he will fuck 30 more chicks at once. But yeah, we get extra free food for having contributed to that”.

It wasn't a profitable company.

The point is that many tech companies in the Bay Area were not profitable, never going to be profitable, but they treated software developers like kings because of the distorted market supported by low interest rate environment.

Shouldn't you be happy you help poor boss to barely make ends meet?

It will remain in the digital realm all this time.

The only major disruption will be to anything content related. You will be able to generate blockbuster films/series for a thousand dollars. OF, P0rn basically for a few dollars. Instagram and tiktok profiles of fake people for a few dollars. Artists will be able to put out thousands of good songs a month and see what sticks, become big with one peraphs. You’re already able to generate articles/copywriting/books.

Since content will be free, the only value add will be in how much capital you have available to advertise.

AI is to digital content what china did to physical items. Only advertising money will make or break a product because anyone can go to an AI and have a great product instantly. Just like you can go to china and get a pretty good product instantly.

happened to me twice to reach €10-30kk MRR and they shut it down. mo human support. I had a 1-4% refund rate. After those bans, I’m not allowed to use Stripe at all seemingly. Because as soon as I use a form of ID with my name (even one not used before on a new laptop and new connection and new SIM), the account is blocked as soon as I submit the ID.

For reference, the businesses were social media and skincare related.

Apparently they only accept like 1% of the micro businesses in the world and you never ever get to talk to a human.

It is pretty much the same with every payment provider unless you have an extremely large volume of sales and your industry is at least kinda ok with them.

How did I fix this? well, I didn’t fix it per se. I stopped creating businesses that would require credit card processing.

I built a business targeted for high net worth individuals. Few, large individual transactions that you can collect with an invoice (payooner/quickbooks) or, better, a wire transfer.

maybe if you are a US company and need CC processing, go for authorize.net+some other company.. idk

paid in 1864 €200k adjusted for inflation

now prolly worth a billion

damn that’s a x5000 return

Really difficult to estimate it's worth since the owners are determined never to sell or develop. If value can never be realized, is it still value?

It’s priceless. Good humans if they’ve locked it up in perpetuity.

Ignoring inflation in such calculations is part of how the island owners pull one over on the non island owners.

really? intel a sideways stock from the 70s is the best long you found in the entire planet? out of all the financial instruments and all the markets and all the categories u actually believe that’s the best pain to gain ratio play

They have their own fabs, a new GPU line, and they're national security critical. they also make pretty good CPUs even if they aren't the best value/$.

Intel literally cant fail because of national security. The government will continuously bail them out which I think is a pretty big advantage, giving them time to figure something out. Theyre cheap as fuck too so tons of upside

Well, I'm betting on Gelsinger's plan to launch Intel 18A process, and regaining process lead - this should bring Intel's stock price from current $31 to at least $70. Also, it's a hedge against China invading Taiwan and blowing up TSMC, in which case it would probably skyrocket to $100+. In the meantime Intel pays nice dividends.

MSFT went sideways for like a decade too. Who knows... Intel is doing something the others aren't with building its own fabs. Which arguably carries a lot of risk but it could pay off.

more like 90% lol

well, i tried salvia and I tried shrooms. I don’t see how it’s more philosophical just because it’s a dissociative. at best, it’s more of an ego death than, say, shrooms, if during the trip you become an object. It’s still a unique plant for sure because of it’s dissociative effects. To thread lightly. AFAIK natives in mexico say that smoking it is very bad. and that u’re supposed to chew fresh leaves. maybe chewing fresh leaves doesn’t even cause the same dissociative effects which are unpleasant.

you don't even have to pay the contractors to extract money if we're talking about a legit team, like say Chelsea, you can just buy a bunch of top players and the business will print more money and be valued more if you want to flip it.

Sure, at that point it's just running a business, rather than fraud or laundering which was the original question of how you would use a sports team to do that.

FB and Google replaced the “inflection times products” yahoo and myspace. so idk. they just built a better product without an inflection point. they weren’t the first but the last.

overall, the only businesses that worked out for me out of 20 failed ones, were something that i myself wanted, had deep knowledge of and knew for sure other people wanted, was hard to get and that ppl were prepared to pay a lot for.

(Plastic surgery and Fame)

so I would say I was in the market, I knew the market, I was a customer, and then I created a product.

Apple with the Apple I and the iPhone on the other hand was an inflection point product.

OpenAI as well.

It’s crazy to say that all big successful companies are inflection type products. They’re the minority and it’s crazy unlikely to work out.

this is an amazingly long way of saying , have good freecashflow
