Thank you for that reminder. Do you have any advice that directly addresses my question?

I think what you’re doing is wonderful. Keep it up! I come at this from the opposite point of you as someone who, at a certain point in time, was perhaps a little bit of a big deal. Many years later I still get emails from people almost weekly saying how impactful my insight was or how inspirational watching my own and entrepreneurial journey was for them. I’m always glad to hear from them and I also 100 Percent of the time respond. Nothing creepy about it. You also never know who of those folks that have inspired you could use that little boost in that moment.

I’m a fan of Ram Dass - but not “fascinated”. To me he was like a spiritual comedian sharing the absurdity of this life. I find it’s helpful to get perspectives from far out people - perhaps so I don’t have to venture so far out myself. By no means does he get a pass for any transgressions.

Would you rather end up a middle class retiree that played it safe, or die an entrepreneur who worked on this they were passionate about regardless of the financial outcome? Personally, I’d rather die broke with a life full of adventures that sometimes payed out and sometimes didn’t, rather than comfortably numb in a retirement home on social security.

To be fair to the rich retirees, making a few webforms over and over again and calling yourself an entrepreneur isn't exactly a life lived of adventure.

OP: I'm close to getting this to run but I get this error:

Traceback (most recent call last): File "./deletefb.py", line 3, in <module> from seleniumrequests import Chrome ImportError: No module named seleniumrequests

Any idea what's to be done?

Sounds like you're trying to run it from source?

If so the steps would be:

1) virtualenv -p $(which python3) ./venv

2) source ./venv/bin/activate

3) pip install -r requirements.txt

Then you should be able to run it, assuming you have google chrome and the chromedriver installed. It's called "chromium-chromedriver" on Ubuntu

Nice. Running Fb-Delete. I couldn't get the DeleteFB to work so I'm running yours instead. Any idea how long it takes if you got 1000s of posts?

Did you get it to work? It just hung after an uncaught exception for me.

Edit: had to disable 2FA to get it to work.

Anyone have an idea for how to block this on your iphone? Perhaps content filtering glassboxdigital.com? Not sure if that would stop however it is that they're transmitting back to their servers.

Possibly... I might try using Charles Proxy mobile app to observe what domains data is being sent/received from, then on your home network use something like Pi-Hole to block those domains.

Does Charles (iOS) allow capturing traffic of any app launched? Is it like a "record" button for network traffic?

If you can monitor it via a web proxy, then you should be able to block it the same way.

Easy math = divide by 3 and multiply by 1800.

You’ve got a $99,000 job including the value of benefits and bonuses.

Berlin or Amsterdam would be my picks in Europe.

Bangkok or KL for Asia.

Austin for the US.

Since you mentioned Asia, consider Kerala, the southern most state in India. India is like Europe - even though there are lots of similarities, most states have its own language, a different culture etc. Kerala is known for it's high literacy and higher standard of living. Plus its beautiful and raw too.

I agree with Pritish. But there is Startup culture in Trivandrum and Kochi. Also, tech literacy is high in TVM and Kochi due the the tech parks.

Kerala is great for tourism and spending a vacation, but I don't recall seeing a startup community thriving there - infact I did not see any known tech company there. Also the people there are English speaking, but not always. As far as tech intellectuals, I'm not sure how many there are in Kerala.

>high literacy

where literacy is defined as the ability to write my own name.

One would find a better-developed tech scene in Delhi/NCR and Bengaluru, but those aren't very nice places to live for different reasons. Kerala works only if the OP becomes a digital nomad and works remote.

Then there's also the problem of people going on strike whenever they like - flavour of the month types. When I went on a solo trip, they decided to strike due to the rise in fuel prices. Causes a lot of disruption in day-to-day activities. I'm guessing this is because of the influence of the communist party.

Could you expand on why you suggest Bangkok? I live here, but I might be in a bit of a bubble.

I lived in Bangkok the past 6 months and made many "intellectual" friends since moving here.

Two things I do, occasionally stay in hostels to meet people (hit and miss) and going to tech-related meetup.com and eventbrite.com events in Bangkok and Chiang Mai (80-90%+ of my friends in Thailand were met this way)

Thais too or other foreigners?

The reason is because advertisers are willing to spend more targeting a US user who had an average annual income of $50k where as one in India may have $5k. The user is 10x more valuable from a revenue standpoint so the cost you’re willing to bear to advertise to them is 10x etc
