I find using the LLM as a rubber duck helpful, even if, no, especially if I do not even end up pressing send. Just writing out the problem leads me to the answer.

While not a random server in the internet, here is the start of the ssh banner on my router (before the legal "fuck off")

Including a cocktail recipe in the login banner has been a signature of OpenWRT for a long time. Looks like Technicolor came up with their own recipe for their OpenWRT distribution.

OpenWRT stopped doing this 10 years ago, as it was too much hassle to pick a drink that satisfy everyone.

Flame is what you see when gases burn in the air. As the material burns, it breaks down and releases flammable gases, which burn too, giving the effect of flame. If you have ever tried burning fine-grade steel wool, you will have seen that it burns without any flame because the iron burns directly without making gases first.

I was told it was plasma. Who is wrong, them or you? Either way, I can't trust one of you...

Perhaps you should look it up yourself? Plasma is not found in flame, but it is in lightning.

I have been looking for something like this for a long time, I am glad to see it now exists.

Me too. Tell me more...?

That's because there is a lot of videos on that page.

19/20. I'm on a MacBook, so I have a pretty good screen.

Could it have been BeShare?

Just checked it out, looks cool, but don’t remember using it

Does it work on top of Hotline as well?

Do you know if there is a current version for Mac? Would love to try it out

The main client is only for Haiku, but there is an old windows client that can probably be run in wine. It uses a protocol called MUSCLE.

How long ago did you try it out? Haiku is daily driver-ready for a lot of people, especially now that FireFox has been ported (under the name of iceweasel).

Maybe a year ago

You should really try it again! Haiku has come quite far since a year ago.

Me too! I find myself saying 'that was on HN a while ago' very often, actually.

Yes, 2025 will be the year of the Haiku desktop!
