I am working on a site where you can learn SQL by querying real-world sports data.
Building this cause Leetcode style SQL questions bore me and analysing real sporting events make this a fun exercise.
The fact that you recognize this in yourself and in your kid already means you're aware enough to help guide him. Maybe the goal isn’t to ‘fix’ it but to help him explore in a way that doesn’t feel like a dead end.
Thanks. I guess I have the awareness but don't have the medicine. I feel that everything with kids is pretty random, and humans don't do well without formulas. Honestly, my whole life is pretty random lol.
That’s an interesting take, and honestly, there’s a lot of truth to it. The idea that happiness doesn’t have to come from relentless striving is something we don’t hear enough. Finding peace in ‘being your best mediocre self’ is probably healthier than chasing some external validation that never really satisfies.
