I have engaged with "Reuben Firmin" and I believe this is posting to be a scam. I was not able to find a business record matching the company name, website is void of any name of people or even a physical address, company blog uses stock images. They claim to use AWS in the above but host on https://hostinger.com.

Ansible has been better than Chef and Puppet for small environments. I looked at cdist but it wasn't faster for my use case. Also, Ansible executes rules ordered unlike Chef and Puppet which helps reduce your state space. If you incrementally maintain servers, by definition, your only tested configuration is the one you executed. The way to improve reliability is to start from the same (container) state, and now the only maintenance ought to be changes (OS upgrades has been it for me). Ansible across 1 server and 2 desktops with no changes takes ~3m17s and I wish it was way faster. As of know I manage with tagging things and only running a subset of things. Consider standardizing on a single distro (I use Debian and it's served me extremely well over the years). +1 on centralizing, too, till you have an use case that requires more servers. servers <= containers. Simplify. Kubernetes is complicated.

You group tickets into root cause and the future projected cost will now fully fund fixing the issue. Most companies, however, look at customer support a cost center instead of valuable insight it is.

I taught customer service / software engineers to process tickets from the singular queue and eliminated routing. Worked surprisingly well.

I have yet to see a chatbot in a customer service function that isn't strictly worse than a button. Usually, the button is "request refund / return" for whatever reason. It's like captcha stuff, web site owner is too dumb (no offense) to figure out how to handle spam so they offload that task onto the customer.

The "food" typo is just too good to ignore in this context.

Maybe someone could use train a AI for something useful like skipping advertisement? Switching from time to content id, i.e. like they use for copyright strikes, would work even better than status quo.

Sponsorblock tagged videos would serve as excellent training data for an ad-detecting AI.

Are there any workarounds for smart tv apps (browser, player)? They probably already "won" there and the user experience is horrible.

SmartTube for Android TV

Maybe a pihole.

If it is Android, try NoRoot Firewall app.

Projects that I haven written in Ruby has bit-rotted faster than anything else (libraries but not Ruby itself). The tiny webapp I wrote to test out Ruby on Rails has broken on every single major upgrade.
