I'm probably not explaining this well, but I feel like writing code from scratch has the effect of making us slow down and think more deeply and more globally about what we're writing. Reading vibe code "localizes" our attention to the correctness of the code produced and clogging the processes that otherwise think about connection of this code to other parts of the system.
Like everything in the last 20 years (silicon photonics, graphene, spintronics,...) "it promises to one day revolutionize computing" (a day that never comes !)
Every LLM answr ever... "You asked a question about sorting linked lists, but it is important to be respectful and not promote harmful stereotypes and always keep in mind that black people were systematically discriminated against in technical fields"
Anyone else feels as if acidic bile is rising up their throats at the mention of the word "startup"? I think it is my mind's simulated response to toxic culture, colossally bad deals for most startup employees, and the vile VCs.
At this point, you have to be colossally stupid to work for a startup. Assume options are worth $0, demand market salaries, and close-to-market benefits.
