Please note that the source needs quite a few changes before being built as all the proprietary code has been removed. It lacks (from the readme): all of the system fonts, the Bluetooth stack, the STM peripheral library, the voice codec, ARM CMSIS, the heart rate monitor driver.
Wondering if they took into account that this leaves a gap in the Linux community, and an open source competitor might rise from this move. Competitor that might at some point eat market share in the other OS as well.
Unfortunately the impact is not limited to Apple product, but a wider ecosystem.
For example the browser. If a feature is not implemented in Safari, as only available browser on IOS, every website needs to be compatible with it. Songs must be available on Apple Music if you want to be available for Apple owners...
Same here, with the added benefits that the prescription is digital. Also, in my go to pharmacy my wife account is linked to mine, so she can pickup my medication as soon as my call with the doctor is done.
